Elly Gaskell

Actor, Singer, Dancer

Elly Gaskell is an American performer who was raised in Singapore. She made her film debut in 2021 in This Land Is Mine, a Singaporean historical drama produced by Weiyu Films and Mediacorp.​

 

​Elly is currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Elly has also trained at NYU Abu Dhabi, where she served as assistant director and assistant music director for Temporary People, a workshop adaptation of Deepak Unnikrishnan’s novel, led by Egyptian director Laila Soliman.

(TV) After the end of World War II, when Singapore returns to British rule after four years of Japanese Occupation, the lives of several individuals are thrown into upheaval by the turbulence of the times.

(Short Film) “Refracted” is a story of queer love, budding crushes, and the complicated intertwining that come up in young romance.

(Theatre) Performed at Singapore American School. This heartfelt Tony-Award winning musical follows a group of wonderfully unique and impassioned adolescents as they compete for the bee championship.
