ELLY GASKELL
Elly Gaskell
I am an American actor, born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Singapore. My love for theatre and music began after I found myself pulled along to a friend’s voice lesson. Two years later, I made my professional debut in Singapore as Small Alison in Fun Home. Since then, I have explored a variety of mediums, making my film debut in 2021 in This Land Is Mine, a Singaporean historical drama produced by Weiyu Films and Mediacorp.
I am currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Here, I’ve performed a variety of roles including Anya in Anastasia, Ben/Lisa in Disaster!, and Louise Lebreton in The Hello Girls. I have also trained at NYU Abu Dhabi, where I served as assistant director for Temporary People, a workshop adaptation of Deepak Unnikrishnan’s novel, led by Egyptian director Laila Soliman.
You can catch me on the NWU stage in a variety of productions throughout the year. Follow my journey on Instagram (@elly.gaskell)!
