WHO IS ELLY?
A crucial part of Elly's identity is her multicultural upbringing. While born in Denver, Colorado, she moved to Singapore at the age of 7. There, she spent the formative years of her life surrounded by a variety of cultures and art forms. From studying Malay culture and customs for her TV debut in This Land is Mine to learning gamelan, traditional Indonesian percussion, Elly strives to learn from the diverse perspectives she immerses herself in.
Elly feels most at home in a random airport or hotel room, her belongings stuffed into a suitcase. She loves to travel the world, visiting friends from Singapore and from her time at NYU Abu Dhabi. She hopes to cross more destinations off her list, try new cuisines, and spend more time in various National Parks. Her dream is that her career will take her around the world.

Over the last two years, Elly has forged a home at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She’s found a wonderful group of friends who push her to be the best version of herself. While Elly will miss her community, she is excited for what lies ahead after this year.
